Après un tragique accident de voiture, le docteur Stephen Strange, célèbre neurochirurgien, perd l?usage de ses mains. Devant l?échec de la médecine traditionnelle à le guérir, il se tourne vers d?autres ressources, au sein d?un étrange lieu nommé Kamar-Taj. Il va vite découvrir qu?il ne s?agit pas d?un simple centre de soins, mais d?un avant-poste de la lutte contre les forces obscures invisibles qui cherchent à détruire notre réalité.
